At Aqfer, our low-code solutions have been helping MSPs and related organizations build the products they need to overcome these challenges (and more) and better support the brand customers they serve. Our Universal Tag Platform (aUT) captures billions of regulatory-compliant first-party consumer data records for our clients each day, and is one of the fastest and most reliable tagging solutions available on the market. Our Marketing Data Platform (aMDP) unifies, harmonizes, and distributes billions of data records for our clients each day, and is one of the most scalable, efficient, and cost-effective cloud marketing data management solutions available.

Aqfer’s powerful solutions continue to help our clients everyday and have been proven to get their products to market significantly quicker, cheaper, and safer than alternatives. But as part of our commitment to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, and after receiving valuable feedback from our clients, we identified areas where our solutions could be enhanced even further – particularly when it comes to user experience.

So after analyzing this valuable client feedback and additional internal reviews, we’re extremely excited to announce the upcoming Aqfer ‘Portal 2.0 Update’ set to go live April 1, 2023. Read on to learn more about the exciting new features and enhancements coming with this major update and how these will make our solutions significantly more user-friendly and self-service capable.

The Aqfer Portal 2.0 Update will include significant improvements to the user interface where clients access our solutions, new features and enhancements to improve the self-service capabilities of our solutions, and backend improvements to aUT and aMDP.

Specifically, the Aqfer Portal 2.0 Update brings with it:

  • a completely revamped user interface for the Aqfer Client Portal with an easier-to-follow product and features navigation
  • a brand new tag templating capability along with private and public tag libraries
  • a brand new aMDP Sandbox environment for testing and saving job types and configurations prior to deployment
  • backend improvements to aUT and aMDP that improve scalability, processing speed, and efficiency while reducing onboarding times for our clients and their customers
  • integration with Aqfer’s knowledge base and how-to documentation, including dynamic search capabilities

All migration work will be handled by Aqfer and no major downtime is anticipated, so clients can access and perform all of their usual jobs and processes as you would have prior to the update. Starting April 1, 2023, you’ll immediately notice an updated and more initiative UI when logging into the Aqfer Client Portal which will allow you to access the new features the Portal 2.0 Update brings with it.

Aqfer Universal Tag Receives Enhanced UI and Shareable Tag Libraries

As part of the Portal 2.0 Update, Aqfer Universal Tag – our renowned first-party universal tagging solution – receives new features that significantly enhance its self-service capabilities and improve its overall user experience. Users will immediately be met with a more intuitive and easier-to-navigate user interface that brings with it new features that simplify how you create, manage, and deploy your first-party tags.

aUT now lets you create custom tag templates and save them to your own private tag library where they can be accessed, modified, and managed, or to a public tag library where they can be accessed by fellow aUT users. You will now be able to create custom first-party tag templates with a variety of parameters and attributes based on your specific needs and applications.

The aUT private tag library lets you manage and access all tag templates you’ve created, search for and sort your created tag templates, and duplicate created tag templates for use across owned and paid media environments – all from a single location. The aUT public tag library is a public repository of tag templates created by fellow aUT users as well as Aqfer’s solutions engineers. In it, you can find pre-built tag templates that can be used in today’s most popular tagging environments, such as Google Ads, Facebook, and more.

Tag Template Duplication

“Universal Tag has provided our clients with one of the fastest, most reliable, and most-affordable first-party tagging solutions for years, but our Portal 2.0 Update takes aUT to the next level. Its vastly improved user interface and expanded tag creation and management features significantly improve its self-service capabilities and simplify tag creation and deployment. aUT was a premiere tagging solution before these latest enhancements, but even more so now.”

Dan Jaye

Co-Founder and CEO

The ability to easily duplicate tag templates, whether in your private library or aUT’s public library, is particularly beneficial if you’re looking to capture data across multiple websites or are at an organization that manages the campaigns of multiple organizations. It will significantly speed-up the tag creation and deployment processes and allow you to start collecting and analyzing data much more rapidly.

In addition to tag template duplication, the Portal 2.0 Update also allows you to edit existing tag templates, including ones actively deployed. Rather than create and deploy entirely new tags to reflect minor changes in data collection or campaign needs, you can instead change parameters or settings within your existing tags and continue using them. This prevents unnecessary disruptions and downtime, ensuring that campaigns continue to flow smoothly even if changes are required.

Prior to aUT’s UI enhancements as part of the Portal 2.0 Update, custom tag creation and management was handled by the Aqfer team on behalf of our clients and their customers. But the need to rapidly deploy first-party tags has increased exponentially recently due to evolving regulations around consumer privacy and browser restrictions on third-party cookie use. These industry factors, in conjunction with feedback from clients on their evolving tagging needs and requirements, prompted us to make aUT a much more self-service oriented product that lets you build and deploy your own tags in a much faster, scalable, and efficient way.

Marketing Data Platform Enhancements and Sandbox

As part of the Aqfer Portal 2.0 Update, Aqfer Marketing Data Platform – our acclaimed marketing data management solution – receives new features and enhancements designed to improve usability, enhance user experience, and increase its processing power and efficiency. Users will be met with an improved user interface that provides easier navigation and access to aMDP’s cutting-edge data management and analysis features, as well as to aMDP’s new Sandbox tool.

The aMDP Sandbox is a new tool within aMDP that lets you create and test your own custom jobs in an isolated environment before they’re deployed, allowing you to experiment with different job types and data configurations without impacting ongoing projects. These custom jobs and configurations can then be saved for future use, eliminating the need to build new jobs from scratch and thus significantly speeding-up data source onboarding and job production times.

Additionally, backend improvements involving aMDP’s YAML syntax increase its data processing speed, improve job configuration efficiency, and expand its data mapping capabilities. Its new and improved UI in conjunction with its backend improvements make aMDP significantly more user-friendly and truly let you take back control of your marketing-related data.

In keeping with our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, additional product enhancements for aUT and aMDP are planned throughout the rest of 2023 (and beyond).
